„Recent Trends and Perspectives in AI“ by Julian Hatzky (Technical Lead, Prognos AG)

On February 6, 2025, Julian Hatzky gave a guest lecture on the topic „Trends and Perspectives in AI“ at the IDE+A Institute at TH Köln. The focus of his lecture and the subsequent discussion was the recent AI success in the ARC-AGI challenge, Grokking, Reasoning in LLMs, and how humans and AI learn.

After completing his bachelor’s degree at TH Köln, Julian Hatzky pursued a master’s degree at VU Amsterdam. During this time, he published works together with Prof. Dr. G. Eiben. Prof. Dr. G. Eiben and Prof. Dr. T. Bartz-Beielstein share a long history of collaboration on numerous research projects, primarily in the field of parameter optimization. They have also jointly supervised several doctoral theses (Dr. Volker Nannen, Dr. Selmar Smit, Dr. Giorgos Karafotias, and Dr. Jörg Stork).

Julian Hatzky is currently working as a Technical Lead at Prognos AG.
